THE CHALLENGE

  • Positioning Four Models Under One Narrative: Ford Türkiye needed to bring four electric models — each targeting a different segment and user profile — together under a single, coherent hero film. Rather than spotlighting each model individually, the challenge was to build an overarching narrative that gave them all meaning as a unified whole.
  • Making the Electric Transition Feel Inspiring: Consumer hesitancy toward electric vehicles remains strong in the Turkish automotive market. Ford wanted a narrative that framed this shift not as a compromise or obligation, but as an invitation to a cleaner, smarter, and more desirable future — one that motivates rather than instructs.
  • Balancing Emotional Resonance with Brand Authority: The film needed to function both as a declaration worthy of Ford’s legacy and as a piece of content that creates genuine emotional connection. Avoiding a feature-led, technical tone while still communicating the weight of the moment was a critical creative challenge.
  • Premium Production Across Multiple Channels: The film had to perform at the highest production level across TV, YouTube, digital paid media, and cinema. This required format-specific adaptations, seamless VFX integration, and the creative use of Istanbul’s iconic urban landscape as a narrative backdrop.

THE SOLUTION

  • A Metaphorical Narrative Framework — “Old World vs. New Era”: Rather than introducing each model separately, a narrative architecture was built that placed all five within a shared transformation metaphor. Istanbul’s grey, fog-laden, smoke-filled cityscape — representing the fossil fuel era — gave way to a vivid, clean world as each Ford electric vehicle entered the scene. This structure unified all models under a single powerful image.
  • Split-Screen and Color Transition as Visual Language: The shift from desaturated grey tones to Ford’s vivid color palette was expressed through a split-screen technique — showing the before and after within the same frame. This delivered the transformation message intuitively and immediately while giving the audience the feeling of witnessing the exact moment of change.
  • 3D Render Aesthetic — Vehicles Being “Born”: Electric vehicles entered the scene through a 3D render line-drawing aesthetic, as if stepping from design blueprint into reality. This was not a technical showcase but a narrative device — positioning Ford as the architect of the new era.
  • Istanbul Silhouette and Organic VFX Integration: The Galata Tower and Istanbul’s historic urban fabric were positioned as a metaphor for the past. Organically moving smoke and cloud VFX were seamlessly blended with live footage — while both aerial drone shots and intimate ground-level frames worked together to capture the transformation as both a collective and personal experience.
